Bodie H. - Senior Pictures - Veteran, Wyoming
Anytime you bring up this young man’s name, you’ll hear the same thing.
He’s an amazing human being.
His friends, teachers, coaches, roping partners, my other senior clients, fellow athletes…they all use the same words to describe him.
Kind. Fun. Funny. Sweet (okay, so that’s just how the girls describe him). A great friend. A guy who would give you the shirt off his back. Ornery but hilarious.
“I love Bodie!” they tell me.
The mom of his roping partner told me “He’s one of my all-time favorite kids.”
I can now confirm that all of these descriptions are 100 percent accurate.
What a treat it was to spend an evening with Bodie, his horses and his family taking some senior pictures and a few quick family pictures as well. We talked football, roping, pigs and horses. Bodie is as down-to-earth and hilarious as he is genuine and considerate. He even shocked himself on the electric fence and never once lost his cool and swore.
Me? I’d have dropped that f-bomb. But he’s a gentleman and obviously mature beyond his years.
A few years ago, Bodie was in an accident that could have altered the course of his life permanently. Fortunately his head injury has healed and he’s back to doing what he loves…roping, playing football, playing basketball and being an all-around great kid.
Maybe the seriousness of that situation contributes to his positive attitude and affability today.
The University of Wyoming has a marketing theme that says “The World Needs More Cowboys.”
I whole-heartedly believe that. But if those cowboys were as kind, caring, and genuinely funny as Bodie, well…that’d be awesome. The world could DEFINITELY use a lot more young men like him.
