The best senior picture ideas come from you.

Your senior picture session should reflect you…your interest, your passions, your activities.  The more comfortable you feel, the more fun you have, the better the photos turn out.

And the more fun you’re having, the more fun I have!  As a result, I get MORE inspired, MORE creative and we both have fun taking risks.  The final result?  Beautiful, unique, and above all, totally authentic images that showcase the real you.

It’s like this giant flywheel of awesomeness that builds on itself.  But it starts with being authentic to youself and giving voice to YOUR senior picture ideas.

Reece here is a football player, basketball player, track star, top student and a thousand other really cool things.  He’s also a bit of a James Bond fanatic and wanted that captured in his senior photos.  The result?  A spy-themed senior picture session in an industrial setting in Torrington, Wyoming.

Bringing the Swag

We had a factory, a classic car, a white dinner jacket.  All we needed was some swag to pull it off.  Reece provided that in spades.

I cannot use enough exclamation marks to describe how much fun I had shooting these senior pictures for Reece and meeting his family.  Reece brought attitude and imagination.  I basically just tried not to mess that up.

Beyond having a chance to get creative and shoot something out of the box, it was fun seeing Reece outside of sports.  His friends describe him as “crazy smart” and a “quiet genius.”  They say they’ll probably all be working for him someday because with his big brain, he’s going to be running a company or small country.

That’s probably 100 percent accurate.

I also loved getting to meet Reece’s mom, Amber, and seeing the fun and love she poured into pulling together his senior session.  I threw out ideas, she gathered them up and put them all into action.  Reece’s stepdad even got in on the action and provided some key props for our shoot.

Someday Reece might be the governor.  Or CEO.  Or whatever else he set his mind to.  He’s got the confidence and smarts and perseverance to make it happen.  And I can say I knew him when…

P.S.  The firearm you see was a prop used for the session only.  It was unloaded and rendered unable to shoot, and that fact was proven each time we handled the gun.  Always handle firearms in a safe manner.
