What little girl doesn’t dream of being a princess and having a pony at some point in time?  And how lucky am I that as a big girl I get to spend time playing with little princesses and ponies and the occasional unicorn or two?

Meet Kinzlee and Red.  There’s not a lot I can say about this session other than maybe “Squeeeeeee!”  It was cuteness overload and so much fun to photograph.  I absolutely adore watching this little girl grow up.  And don’t let the dress and beatific smiles fool you.  Miss Kinz here is as fierce and strong-willed as they come.  She has no qualms about bossing around her big brothers, keeping their dogs and other critters in line or making sure Daddy stays wrapped around her finger.  She is fun, feisty, and never fails to make me absolutely melt with her smile or laugh at her comments.  At one point in time when Red decided he needed to snuffle her dress, she pushed his head away, said “Not today, Red.  You just stay over there and mind your own business.”

To know this little girl is to love her and her spirit.

I love working on special projects like this because it’s a chance to be creative and have some fun.  I also love documenting these sweet and one-of-a-kind moments for families and friends.  I’ve got a few photos of my with my animals growing up, but honestly, not enough.  And none that really capture the love and joy those dogs, horses, pigs or unicorns brought into my life.

If you’ve got a crazy idea for a themed photoshoot, whether it’s for a family photography session, a senior session or a princess pony extravaganza, contact me.  I specialize in family photography in Goshen County and the surrounding areas.  We’ll work together to make your vision a reality and give you beautiful prints and canvases to hang on the wall and cherish after the ponies are outgrown and the tiny princess rules a kingdom of her own.
